CHOCTAW – In one of the last official duties as Tribal Chief of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians, Chief Phyliss J. Anderson announced today that she made the final payment on the Choctaw Health Center last week, paying the facility off in full.

“I want the Choctaw people to know I have always been true to my word and the responsibility of financial stability. I am leaving the Tribe in good financial standing and I have been so honored to serve our people and build our Tribe for future generations to enjoy.”

Chief Anderson opened the new Choctaw Health Center on March 2, 2015. The 180,000 square foot, three-story structure replaced a previous facility that was built in 1975.
