Traffic stops net felony drug arrests

Three unrelated traffic stops in the city resulted in five felony drug arrests by police.

Thomas Staats, 25, of 14430 Highway 15 north, and Joshua Quintana, 23, of 555 Line St., were charged with felony possession of a controlled substance on Thursday.

The two were stopped in a vehicle on Knight Street.

In the second incident, Jermy Nowell, 26, and Megan Stovall, 29, both of 10980 Road 4300, Union, were each charged with felony possession of a controlled substance.

The two were stopped in a vehicle on Front Street Friday.

Seized in the arrests were $424 in cash.

On Sunday, Memory Beckham, 34, of 4126 Calhoun Road, Louisville, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance after she was stopped on Evergreen Avenue.



Man faces aggravated assault charge

A Philadelphia man was arrested at a hotel on Holland Avenue after officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute.

Debriski Talley, 18, of Highway 15 south, was arrested and charged with domestic aggravated assault by strangulation.
