Governor Phil Bryant will be the guest speaker during the annual wild game supper Thursday at First Baptist Church, featuring an array of grilled turkey, deer, wild hog, alligator, raccoon and fried catfish.

The annual event, celebrating nearly 20 years, will be in the Christian Life Center starting at 6:30 p.m.

The supper, free to the public, is a Christian Outreach Ministry of the Brotherhood at First Baptist.

Chief cooks Barney Nowell and Bill Gilley expect to serve about 200 people during the supper, which will include a number of door prizes.

A variety of cakes, pies and salads will be provided by the women of First Baptist.

"We'll bake over 200 biscuits and have plenty of brown rice and gravy to go with our wild game," Nowell said. "We hope everyone comes out and joins us."
