Homecoming festivities for Philadelphia High School will begin on Thursday with the annual Tornado Tailgate on the front lawn of PHS. There will be a school-wide pep rally where the football team, band, cheerleaders, and the 2013 Homecoming Queen and her court will be honored. All activities will begin at 5 p.m.

The 2013 homecoming ceremony will be observed on Friday night at half-time.

Homecoming queen is Rashada Boler, daughter of Dwanna and Timothy Boler.

Miss Boler attends Jerusalem Temple Church. She is a member of the Philadelphia High School Cheerleading Squad, where she serves as captain. She is a member of the Beta Club, Future Business Leaders of America, and Mu Alpha Theta.

She was seventh grade class president and chosen as Friendliest and Cutest in PJHS Who's Who. Her eighth grade year she was chosen as Class Favorite and Cutest in PJHS Who's Who. She was elected Freshman maid and Most Beautiful in Who's Who her freshman year. She was sophomore class favorite, served on student council as vice president, and received the 2011-2012 Cheerleading Jump Award. She was chosen as Cutest in Who's Who, received the 2012-2013 Cheerleading Jump Award, placed 1st in Global Business at District FBLA Competition, and served on the student council her junior year.

She is currently the Philadelphia High School FBLA President, an active member in the Neshoba Youth Coalition, a special honor student, an All-American Cheerleader and ranked in the top 10 of her senior class.

She will be escorted by her father, Timothy Boler.

Senior maids are Nohemi Velez, daughter of Bob and Gloria Crockett, and Kentionne Williams, daughter of Tesha Crouther and Kenneth Williams.

Miss Velez attends Holy Cross Catholic Church. She is a member of the Philadelphia High School Soccer and Tennis teams, Show Choir and Drama Club, and is a member of the Spanish Honor Society.

She received the Theatre Production award and has participated in the Philadelphia Beauty and Beau Review placing in the top 10 her Junior Year and was chosen Most Beautiful her 8th grade year.

She will be escorted by Mike Tinsley.

Miss Williams is a member of Goodway Missionary Baptist Church where she is a member of the Youth and Mass Choirs, Youth Ministry, and serves as an alternate Sunday School teacher for the infant class.

She is a member of the Mayors Youth Council, Future Educators Association, and the Philadelphia High School Mu Alpha Theta Math Club.

She has received the Mayors Youth Council Leadership Award, and the Humanitarian Award presented by the Teacher Academy.

She will be escorted by her uncle, Jeremy Haynes.

Junior maids are Tatiana Moore, daughter of Annette McCurty and Quinton Moore, Jr., and Addy Graham, daughter of Allen and Tonya Graham and Tabitha and David Clay.

Miss Moore is a member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church.

She is a member of the Philadelphia High School Beta Club, Mu Alpha Theta Math Club, Future Business Leader's of America, and the Future Educators Association Honor Society.

She will be escorted by her brother, Darrin McBeath.

Miss Graham is a member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church.

She is a member of the Philadelphia High School Future Business Leaders of America, Mu Alpha Theta Math Club, and Future Educators Association.

She is an honor roll student and has received the Perfect Attendance Award, Honor Society Award from the Future Educators Association, and has been named as an Advanced Performer on the MS CPAS.

Miss Graham will be escorted by her Father, Allen Graham, Jr.

Sophomore maids are Jabria Brown, daughter of Tracy Brown and James Carter, and Emily Duncan, daughter of Lance Duncan and Erica and Timmy Bozeman.

Miss Brown is a member of Jerusalem Temple Church where she serves as a Junior Usher and Youth Choir Member.

She is a member of the Philadelphia High School Basketball and track team. She is a member of the Neshoba Youth Coalition as well.

She is an honor roll student and received the Most School Spirit in Who's Who her 8th grade year.

Miss Brown will be escorted by her brother, Jeremy Brown.

Miss Duncan is a member of First United Methodist Church where she is an active member in the Philly FUMC Youth group.

She is a member of the Philadelphia High School Girls Soccer Team, Beta Club, Future Business Leaders of America, and is a Varsity Cheerleader.

She has received first alternate in the Philadelphia Queen of Hearts Pageant and was named a Beauty in the Philadelphia High School Beauty and Beau Review her Freshman year.

Miss Duncan will be escorted by her father, Lance Duncan.

Freshman maids are Jada White, daughter of Tamekia Sutton and Reggie White, and Tiffany Gray, daughter of Linda McNair and James Gray.

Miss White is a member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church where she serves as an usher and is a Sunday school and youth choir member.

She is a member of the Philadelphia High School Beta Club, Mu Alpha Theta Math Club, Slow-Pitch, and Fast-Pitch Softball teams where she has served as team captain.

She was selected as Freshman Class Vice-President, and is an honor roll student on the Principal's List. She was chosen as Miss PJHS in Junior High. She has also been chosen as class favorite and friendliest in Who's Who.

Miss White will be escorted by her father, Reggie White.

Miss Gray attends the Morning Star Baptist Church where she is a member of the choir.

She is a member of the Philadelphia High School Basketball Team.

Miss Gray will be escorted by her father, James Gray.

The Homecoming Queen attendant serving as flower girl will be Ja'niya Gentry, daughter of Jon and Nekecia Gentry. The crown bearer is Dylan Graham, the son of Towasky and Renarda Graham.

Philadelphia High School Student Council President Tiarra Black will crown the 2013 Homecoming Queen. Homecoming activities are sponsored by the PHS Student Council.

Officers of the Student Council are Tiarra Black, president; Amechia Carter, vice president; Caitlin Bounds, secretary; and Brownisha Clark, treasurer. The PHS Student Council is sponsored by Mrs. Kim Donald. The queen was elected by members of the student body.
