A two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Pecan Avenue and Beacon Street in Philadelphia left three injured last week.

The collision occurred shortly after 7 p.m. last Tuesday when a white Ford F-250 truck traveling west on Beacon Street collided with a blue Ford F-150 truck carrying five people headed south on Pecan Avenue.

According to Philadelphia Fire Department Battalion Chief Dale Yates, the driver of the white vehicle said he was not able to see the traffic light because his vision was impaired by the setting sun.

One adult woman and two children from the blue vehicle were injured. The woman suffered a laceration to her head while both children were complaining of arm pain.

All three were transported to the hospital by car where they were treated and released.

The two other people in the blue truck and the driver of the white truck were uninjured.
