A 13-year-old has been charged as an adult with armed robbery after allegedly taking a cell phone from a juvenile in the area along Depot Marketplace on the night of Sept. 9.

Isaiah Davion Frazier, 13, of 10440 Road 553, was charged with brandishing a gun and taking the phone.

Chief of Police Grant Myers said anytime a weapon is used in an armed robbery, the case goes to Circuit Court.

Frazier was identified a few days after the alleged incident occurred and arrested last Thursday.

“We didn’t recover the gun,” Myers said. “Even if it was a fake gun or a BB gun, you can still be charged with armed robbery if you present it as a real firearm.”
