A Philadelphia woman faces murder in connection with the shooting death of Michael Deangelo Moore, 23, following a domestic dispute Sunday morning.
Tironza Jones, 28, of 10601 Road 632, was charged with murder Tuesday morning after Moore, also of 10601 Road 632, died a day earlier in the University Medical Center.
County Medical Examiner Allen Collins said Moore died shortly before noon on Monday.
Moore was airlifted to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson after being shot one time in the head about 8:30 a.m. outside the house where the two lived, Sheriff Donnie Adkins said.
Investigator Kevin Baysinger said Jones and Moore had a dispute inside the residence moments before the shooting occurred.
Authorities charge that Jones shot Moore while he was sitting in his S10 Chevrolet truck as it was parked beside the carport with the driver's door open, Baysinger said.
