Two Philadelphia men were airlifted to a Jackson hospital Sunday following unrelated shootings in the county, which stemmed from domestic disputes, the authorities said.

Two others face felony charges in connection with the shootings.

Michael D. Moore of 10601 Road 632, was airlifted to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson Sunday morning after being shot in the head one time with a .38 caliber pistol, Sheriff Donnie Adkins said.

Tironza Jones, 28, of 10601 Road 632, was charged with aggravated assault in connection with the shooting, which occurred about 8:30 a.m.

Moore remained in critical condition Monday.

In an unrelated incident, Chris Nolan, 26, of 10030 Road 2418, was airlifted to UMC after suffering gunshot wounds to his hand and back, Adkins said.

He was listed in serious condition Monday.

Terry Sloan, 52, of 10321 Road 369, was charged with aggravated assault in connection with Nolan's shooting, which occurred about 3 p.m. Sunday.

Adkins said the unrelated shootings stemmed from domestic disputes.
