Neshoba Central and Choctaw Central have will be playing for state championships in slow-pitch softball this Saturday at Freedom Ridge Park in Ridgeland.

The schedule is as follows: 10:30 a.m. - Neshoba Central vs. Wayne County; Noon - Choctaw Central vs. Nettleton

The Lady Rockets will be going for their second state championship in a row. They will be playing Wayne County, the same team they beat last year, in the finals of the Class 5A-6A tournament. Neshoba Central, now 32-1, swept Clinton 20-2 and 15-4 to win the North Half championship on Tuesday.

This will be Choctaw Central's first trip to the Class 3A state championship finals. The Lady Warriors, now 28-6, will be playing Nettleton at noon. The Lady Warriors won the South State Class 3A title by beating Southeast Lauderdale in three games, 2-1, 13-15, and 21-17.
