A Philadelphia man is in critical condition at a Jackson hospital after being struck four times by gunfire Sunday outside a residence on Columbus Avenue.

Dennis Miller was airlifted to the University Medical Center in Jackson, Police Chief Bill Cox said. He was shot at 9:43 p.m. Sunday.

The incident occurred outside a residence on Columbus Avenue near the Woodland Hills intersection, he said.

Miller was outside when someone drove up and fired four times with an unidentified caliber gun, Cox said. Miller was struck four times.

He was taken to Neshoba County General Hospital and later airlifted to Jackson.

The police chief said a suspect has been identified.
