No arrests were made following a report of a breaking and entering at a residence Wednesday morning.

Assistant Police Chief Julian Greer said a call came in that someone was trying to break into a house near the intersection of West Avenue and Tolbert Street.

Officers were dispatched to the scene, including Chief Greer.

"When we got there no one was there," he said. "The owner came and checked everything out."

Greer noted that no entry was made and nothing was found missing.

Officers officers are still investigating and checking on the description of a possible suspect, he said.

"We're checking all leads."
