TRUSTEE’S NOTICE OF SALE WHEREAS, on November 14, 2016, Wendell R. Parker and Mary N. LEGAL NOTICE INVITATION FOR BID SALE OF TIMBER, CONEHATTA COMMUNITY MISSISSIPPI BAND OF CHOCTAW INDIANS SALE OF TIMBER, Conehatta Unit 7 Timber Sale, MISSISSIPPI BAND OF CHOCTAW INDIANS. Sealed Bids in duplicate on forms provided therefore marked outside, BID FOR TIMBER, Conehatta Unit 7 Timber Sale, and addressed to Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians Forestry Department, P. O. Box 6026, Choctaw, Mississippi 39350, will be received until 10:00 a.m. Central Time, September 24, 2019, for the purchase of merchantable timber on a lump sum basis so designated for cutting contained within Section 8, Township 17 North Range 10 East, Newton County, Mississippi. This unit includes approximately 61 acres of timbered land designated for cutting with an estimated total volume of 5,087 tons consisting of 4,590 tons of Loblolly/Shortleaf pine saw-timber – scaling segment 14 inches DIB scaling class and greater, and 7 tons of Loblolly/Shortleaf Pine chip-n-saw – scaling segment 10 inches DIB scaling class and greater, and 81 tons of Loblolly/Shortleaf Pine pulpwood – scaling segment 6 inches DIB scaling and greater, and 124 tons of Mixed Hardwood pulpwood – scaling segment 6 inches DIB scaling and greater, and 285 tons of Mixed Hardwood Logs– scaling segment 14 inches DIB scaling and greater . The minimum acceptable bid shall be $25.00/ton for pine sawlogs, $5.00/ton for pine pulpwood, $15.00/ton for pine chip-n-saw, $12.00/ton for hardwood pulpwood, and $40.00/ton for hardwood logs. A performance bond in the amount of $19,223.00 will be required for review and must be considered to be acceptable by the approving officer (Regional Director, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Eastern Region) before the timber sale contract can be signed. All timber included in this sale shall be paid for in advance of cutting. The right to waive technical defects and to reject any or all bids is reserved.
